We were delighted to have two teams competing in the Cumann na mBunscol finals on Friday last, 18th May. Both our boys hurling and girls camogie teams reached the Roinn 2 finals.
Up first were the boys. They had a terrific game against Ballinakill, and to our delight, emerged victorious. Congratulations to the entire panel, and especially captain Joe Dowling.
Next the girls took on Abbeyleix. Unfortunately they were beaten by a better and stronger team on the day. However, our girls showed great character in defeat and did both themselves and our school proud. A special congratulations to Robyn Quarney on her "fair play award".
Thank you to Ms Dollard and Ms Fitzpatrick for all their time and effort throughout the year, to the parents for their support and the players themselves for their dedication. The future of hurling/ camogie looks bright in Paddock.
